Real Golf Club de San Sebastián is the premier golf club in the Basque Country, situated on the hills above Jaizkibel with commanding views of the Bay of Biscay and the French Basque coast beyond. Founded in 1910, the course has royal patronage and a distinguished history. The layout threads through dense Atlantic forest with tight, tree-lined fairways, steep elevation changes and fast, well-defended greens. The temperate maritime climate keeps the course lush year-round but also brings frequent rain and wind, particularly in autumn and winter. The clubhouse, steeped in tradition, is an important social hub for the Donostia golfing community.
