Club Overview & History
Villamartín is one of the southern Costa Blanca's most iconic and enduringly popular golf courses. Opened in 1972 and designed by Putman & Sons, it was among the first purpose-built courses in the Orihuela-Costa area and has played host to numerous European Tour events, including the Mediterranean Open. The classic parkland layout winds through mature pine and palm-lined fairways on gently undulating terrain, with several lakes and strategically placed bunkers providing a consistent test of skill. Villamartín's large and lively clubhouse — famed for its popular Sunday carvery and vibrant social scene — has helped establish the club as the beating heart of the local expatriate golfing community.
