Founded in 1891, Real Club Golf Las Palmas is the oldest golf club in Spain and one of the oldest outside the British Isles, steeped in a heritage that traces back to the Victorian-era British merchants who settled on Gran Canaria. Now located in the volcanic highlands of Bandama above Las Palmas city, the course occupies a breathtaking natural amphitheatre ÔÇö the ancient Bandama caldera ÔÇö with holes draped across crater ridges and pine-clad slopes. The layout is short by modern standards but endlessly charming, with tight fairways, quirky greens and views that stretch from the mountains to the distant ocean. The clubhouse, rich in golfing memorabilia, is a treasure trove of Spanish golf history.
