Son Gual is Mallorca's undisputed golfing masterpiece. Opened in 2007 on the gentle plains east of Palma, the Thomas Himmel-designed championship layout has rapidly earned its place among continental Europe's finest courses. Built on a 150-hectare family estate, the course flows across open, parkland terrain punctuated by stone walls, ancient carob trees and sculpted lakes that lend an understated Mediterranean grandeur. Every hole is immaculately presented ÔÇö from the cathedral-like par-3 sixth with its amphitheatre green to the dramatic par-5 finishing hole hugging a vast lake. The luxury clubhouse, clad in local sandstone, features fine dining, a beautifully appointed pro shop and a terrace with sweeping views of the Tramuntana mountains. Son Gual has hosted European Tour qualifying and consistently ranks as Spain's top island course.
